What happens if my pet does not arrive in good condition?

Of course, the shipping risk is covered by M&M Wüst, for national and international shipments.

Since risks, for example, the shipping of shortly before moulting or not well-fed animals, are avoided, the animals usually survive the transport without getting harmed. However, should one animal (or more) contrary to expectations not arrive unharmed, there is as far as possible free replacement, otherwise the corresponding purchase price refunded.

If animals have suffered visible damage, please contact us as soon as possible!

How are the living animals sent?

The animals are placed in (usually biodegradable) small boxes. These boxes are packed in cardboard and free space is stuffed with lightweight filling material. The packages go out as DHL or UPS packages.

The Germany-wide shipping time is usually 1 – 2 business days (about 90% arrive after one day), for international shipments 1-3 business days are the rule.

Are animals sent in the winter (at minus degrees)?

Thanks to heatpacks and insulation, shipping is no problem, even at temperatures below freezing. Only rarely is the shipping delayed for a day or two (see then under News).

The heatpacks heat up on contact with air (oxygen) and can not be reused. Please dispose these in the residual waste after receipt. The insulation hemp mats are biodegradable and can be re-used or disposed in organic waste.

Just order – we take care of the rest! Heatpacks and insulation are added for FREE depending on the weather!

Are animals sent in midsummer?

At extremely high temperatures (over 30°C in the shade), packages of living animals should be cooled with a cooling pack (frozen water in plastic bags). Of course, they are placed in such a way that they do not have direct contact with the animal containers in order to avoid hypothermia. So also in the summer your new pets will arrive well protected.

Please add a cooling pack at over 30°C!

What happens if I’m not home at the time of delivery?

On the day of shipment, you will receive an email directly from DHL with the parcel tracking number and the tracking link. You will also receive further information on how parcels within Germany may change the recipient’s address (for example, indicate a neighbor as the recipient) or give a put down OK (for example, on the doorstep / in the garage, etc.).

Of course, you can also send the packages directly to an alternative shipping address – e.g. to the workplace or a neighbor.

If, despite all efforts, it is not possible to deliver a parcel, you may have to pick it up the next working day. Since the animals are always well packed and well-fed, they survive such a delay usually without problems.

The animals survive a multi-day journey in the package usually without problems. Nevertheless, please ensure as far as possible that the package can be accepted at the first delivery attempt.

My package is delayed, what to do?

If a package should be delayed, please be patient for at least a week! Praying mantises and other insects survive a long journey usually without any problems.

In urgent cases (for example, feeder insect orders), or if animals have not survived the shipment, please report immediately! Of course there is free replacement or money back on request.
